How to calculate

Strips run in the length direction. Each strip is assumed to be cut and joined from rolls as needed. The allowance can cover end overlaps and offcuts.

Worked example

Length (ft): 16 · Width (ft): 12 · Roll width (ft): 3 · Roll length (ft): 50 · Side overlap (ft): 0.5 · Extra material (%): 10.

Before you order

Try swapping length and width to compare orientations. End joints, curved beds and offcut reuse can change the actual purchase.

For an irregular footprint, split the project into rectangles. Calculate each section and combine unrounded quantities before rounding the final order. Ask the supplier to confirm product yield and available package sizes.
