Use fence height as Width, the net fence run as Length, and set Faces to 1 or 2. The area model treats the fence as solid. Add posts, rails and board edges as extra surface area.

Before you order

Open picket fences have less face area but exposed edges. Measure the actual stainable area and the coverage of your selected finish.

For an irregular footprint, split the project into rectangles. Calculate each section and combine unrounded quantities before rounding the final order. Ask the supplier to confirm product yield and available package sizes.
